Happy New Years 2019! Celebrate the Holidays with Us

Join East Meets West Excursions for the 2019 Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade.

Don’t miss your chance to experience one of Newport Beach’s most celebrated events of the year and make holiday memories with family and friends.  We get very excited for the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, and we would love to share it with your group aboard East Meets West Excursions.  Our new 24′ Topaz/Bimini center console is the perfect vessel to guide you along Newport Harbor for a front row seat to the beautifully decorated yachts and ornate harborside houses.

“I’ve gone on larger boat for whale watching tours and I’m never going back. Having a smaller boat allows us to go faster and see more, also it’s more private than a crowded ship. Captain Nick was positively fantastic. He really knows the waters and well as the aquatic life.” Alexandra I. from  Huntington Beach, California on July 21st 2016 via Yelp

  • Charters are available for small groups (Private Charter Only)
  • All of our Daily Trips have a  6 passenger maximum to provide the comfort and personal attention you desire.
  • 2 sessions (90 min) available each night during boat parade week.
  • Daily Trips are at 6pm and at 8pm. `

“Our Christmas Boat Parade has become an honored tradition for over one hundred years now, and it just keep getting bigger and more spectacular,” remarks Steve Rosansky, president and CEO of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce. “We have a terrific line-up of Grand Marshals, fireworks for our opening and closing nights, and millions of sparkling lights across our beautiful harbor.”

The Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, which has been hailed as “one of the top ten holiday happenings in the nation” by the New York Times, is truly a magical holiday tradition for all ages. The parade continues to be a premier event during the holiday season in Southern California that brings joy and happiness to all that view it.

As Newport Beach’s Christmas Card to the world, the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade will set the harbor ablaze for five consecutive nights, beginning Wednesday, December 18 and ending Sunday, December 22, 2019. Identical to last year’s route, the parade starts off the tip of Lido Isle at 6:30 pm and finishes at the same site at approximately 9:00 pm each evening.

Christina Anstead
Star of HGTV’s “Christina on the Coast” and “Flip or Flop

“The Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade has been part of our family holiday tradition for years,” says Christina Anstead. “Now my family and I call Newport Beach our home, it’s a full circle
moment to serve as grand marshal of the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade this year and share this memorable moment with my family and friends!”

On opening night, Christina will preside on the boat parade’s grand marshal boat, visible to paradegoers on the 14-mile route via the vessel’s deck-to-sail LED screen. Christina joins a celebrated
group of Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade grand marshal alumni including actress Leslie Mann, rockstar Mark McGrath and baseball superstar Albert Pujols.

“We are thrilled to bring Christina Anstead onboard as our 2019 boat parade grand marshal,” says David Beek, Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade co-chair. “Christina is a new resident of our community and her TV show ‘Christina on the Coast’ helps to bring the beauty of Newport Beach to light and what a better way to make our parade that much brighter than with the star power that Christina brings.”

Fireworks help to kick off this year’s event and can be seen lighting the sky over the Newport Beach Pier at about 6:15 p.m.

Beautiful multi-million dollar yachts, kayaks, canoes and other small boats will light up the harbor as a dazzling array of holiday lights and music fill the air at the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. Many of the boats will be richly decorated with animated Christmas scenes accompanied by music and costumed carolers. Some boat owners in the past have spent over $50,000 to decorate their vessels for the event.
